Invest in future proofing your body with Pilates
Are we your perfect movement match?
If you prefer anonymity or like busy classes with mirrors, loud music, and someone yelling backwards from 10, then without judgement, we’re not for you. In contrast, we offer a bright, plant filled and calm space where you’ll be guided by articulate teachers.
While we primarily support women 40+, our adaptable teaching approach creates an inclusive space where gender diverse folks can feel seen and accepted, and neurodiversity is celebrated.
FAQ's
What's the difference between group reformer Pilates and studio Pilates?
Personalised studio sessions (privates, duet, semi privates) are held in our Main studio at 9 Crystal Street, Petersham. In your sessions you will receive very personalised guidance with exercises chosen just for you. There is time to ask questions, problem solve and teach you the how and why behind the movements that are specific to your body. Personalised sessions require an ongoing weekly booking commitment with the same teacher.
Our small Group Reformer classes (max 6 people ) are held in Studio Two at 1a Crystal Street Petersham. In these classes you will be working in unison alongside other attendees towards the same goal, with very minimal personalised guidance.
I’ve been referred by my allied health provider, which service is right for me?
If you have been referred by an allied health provider it’s most likely that you will be initially suited to Personalised sessions rather than Group Reformer classes. Come in for an Initial Consultation so we can assess what will best suit your body.
Can I do Pilates with osteoporosis?
YES! Pilates is great for osteoporosis, osteopenia and low bone density concerns.
If you have just been diagnosed or have never done Pilates we highly recommend a personalised approach initially to address all the concerns associated with exercising with osteoporosis. Book an initial consultation after which we can guide you towards the right service.
If you’ve done Pilates before and prefer group classes- you are welcome to join our group classes but MUST disclose your diagnosis to the teacher can advise which exercises to skip.
Can you accommodate a specific health condition?
We love working with specific requirements due to a health condition, injury or pain. We can adapt for any of the following (and more): can’t get onto the floor, can’t lie on your back, can’t lift your arms, light sensitivity, temperature requirements, fragrance allergy…It’s unusual for something to come up that we’re not able to work with.
I’m currently in acute, persistent or chronic pain...
Safety and duty of care is important to us. We will always recommend Personalised sessions to properly manage your pain with movements specifically designed for you and do not recommend Group Reformer classes.
Book an Initial Consultation first if you would like to attend Personalised sessions.
I'm pregnant. What is your recommended pathway for pregnancy?
We love working with and supporting pre natal bodies, and we advise a staged approach that accommodates for the different needs of each stage of Pregnancy. Read about our approach here.
I’m postnatal. What's your recommended pathway for returning to exercise?
Each persons return to exercise after giving birth looks different, so we highly recommend an Initial Consultation in which you can work with a teacher to decide on the best pathway for you.
In the initial consultation your teacher will have the time and skill to assist you with any areas of pain, concerns about abdominal separation or pelvic prolapse issues.
If you are experienced in reformer Pilates you are welcome to join our Foundations level group classes before moving onto open level classes when you feel ready- we request that you advise the teacher of your delivery date, but they cannot accommodate for any complex needs such as: abdominal separations healing, or pelvic organ prolapse in the group environment.
Unless explicitly referred by an allied health provider we generally only accept postnatal movers a minimum of 6 weeks after delivery- longer if the delivery was via Cesarean.
Can I just drop in for a casual Pilates class?
We don’t generally offer casual visits for Personalised sessions as the benefits are limited when attending sporadically and it’s ideal to have the same teacher every week. However, if you’ve had an Initial Consultation and prefer casual bookings you can do so.
Group Reformer classes are best suited to those clients who want the flexibility to drop in at different times and on different days each week.

Getting Started
If you want to remain anonymous or are looking for a class to gain quick results and do many reps in a loud environment, then without judgement, but we’re absolutely not for you.
We believe that true progress takes time. So we offer you a return to your body—guided by clarity, curiosity, and calm.
While we primarily support women in their late thirties and beyond, men are most welcome too. Most of those who move with us are based in Sydney’s Inner West and seek an intelligent approach to body conditioning. We also offer adaptations (if needed) to meet the learning style of our neurodivergent clients.
